Analysis of the weighing and sorting process of automatic weighing machines:
The automatic weighing machine completes the measurement of the product weight during the product conveyance process. It compares the measured weight with a pre-set range. The controller issues instructions to remove products with unqualified weights or distribute products in different weight ranges to different areas. Automatic weighing machine inspection has gradually become an indispensable link in modern industrial production, especially in the production processes of the food and pharmaceutical industries.
Main applications in the following occasions:
1. Final inspection of product weight
In the final stage of product production, the weight of the product is rechecked. Unqualified products are removed to ensure that the weight of the factory products meets the requirements. This is beneficial to both consumers and production enterprises. Consumers will not suffer losses due to short weights, and production manufacturers will not suffer reputational damage due to customer complaints or even complaints.
2. Feedback control
In addition to providing the product's weight signal and removing unqualified products, the automatic checkweigher can also output a feedback signal according to the difference between the average weight and the nominal weight to the packaging and filling equipment, automatically adjusting the average weight to make it equal to the set weight, thereby reducing production costs.
3. Product missing inspection
For products with small packages in large packages, such as beverage boxes, and occasions where large bags contain multiple small bag products, due to equipment or human factors, products may be missing. Using a checkweigher to check the weight of large packages can ensure that there will be no product missing phenomenon in large packages. For example, there are 24 bottles in each box of beverages. The normal weight of each box is certain. Checking the weight of each box can find out if there is any missing packaging.
4. Sorting and classification
Automatically classify products with uneven weights. For example, manufacturers of segmented chickens need to divide chicken legs of different sizes into several weight ranges. They can use a checkweigher to automatically weigh each chicken wing and send the weight signal to the PLC. The PLC drives the corresponding push plate according to the set range to send the chicken wing to the corresponding box, thus achieving the purpose of automatic classification.
Working principle:
The automatic weighing machine sorting scale is composed of a weighing conveyor, a controller, and an incoming and outgoing conveyor. The weighing conveyor completes the acquisition of weight signals and sends the weight signals to the controller for processing. The incoming conveyor mainly ensures that there is sufficient spacing between products through speed. The outgoing conveyor is used to transport the inspected products out of the weighing area.
Weighing preparation
The product enters the incoming conveyor. The speed setting of the incoming conveyor is generally determined jointly by the product spacing and the required speed. The purpose is that during the operation of the checkweigher, there can only be one product on the scale platform.
Weighing process
When the product enters the weighing conveyor, the system recognizes that the product to be detected enters the weighing area according to external signals such as photoelectric switch signals or internal level signals. According to the running speed of the weighing conveyor and the length of the conveyor, or according to the level signal, the system can determine the time when the product leaves the weighing conveyor. From the time the product enters the scale platform to the time it leaves the scale platform, the weighing sensor will detect the signal shown in the figure below. The controller selects the signal in the stable area of the signal for processing to obtain the weight of the product.
Sorting process
After the controller obtains the product's weight signal, the system will compare it with the pre-set weight range and sort the product. The sorting method will vary depending on the application. There are mainly the following types: removal of unqualified products, removal of overweight and underweight products respectively, or transportation to different places, and classification into different weight categories according to different weight ranges.
